| Market America Scam? By Darren Star
Hello Networkers, It's time to get some information about Market America. Is it a scam? Does this company make sense? Well here's a little insight into the company itself from an outside source and a personal response from a rep that I was able to get some answers from on the inside. James Ridinger catapulted this company to success back in 92, previously very successful Amway monster. This man is a superstar. This company's got nearly 200k representatives, and millions of customers with a bunch of corporate big wigs hanging around. They sell a bunch of different products that you would find in a wal-mart or a major department store. Very close to Amway really. Right under this sentence is an actual script of the convo that I had with a rep of the company on my facebook account when I asked a few months ago about Market America and their primary mlm opportunity. Some words were changed for the protection of the woman giving me this great info. I start it by inquiring on some back info about the company and the structure. Darren S 10/24/09 I know you're in Market...can you hook me up with some info? I'm trying to get a marketing plan together about something related, I need to know about the levels in Market America...take me through the levels and the promotions. What are the barriers to success in the company? not including lead development. For example, *** you have to have three reps in each leg, with this amount of points to hit a required level. A lot of reps have a hard time getting all three legs. Darren S 10/24/09 ohhh and who is someone that any market america rep would know within the company? Kim October 24, 2009 at 5:07pm A big part of my focus is mlsp, however, I'm still pushing a lot of MA business ops and product. Here's some key points for you to look at(dont take all the market america reps from me in mlsp :p) -Levels don't exist. We get all the points for what anyone does on our team...to infinite! People above can place points below you. -You only need 2 personally sponsored people (2 legs - 1 person for each) to receive commission checks. -When you do that and get your fist $300 cheque, you become coordinator -Then there are a ton of levels from there. A good goal is Supervising Coordinator. That gets you $7,500 - $10,000 a month. National Super is up to 18k and a director is 18k-25k. These are the most important levels to remember. -Liz Weber is making 100k/mth and is currently #1. -Struggle...most people don't put the effort in Wanna join my biz. :o) Just kidding. Hope this helps. Kim Kim October 24, 2009 at 5:08pm If you market to business's, have you ever thought about incorporting a website solution. That is something I do through MA. Kim Darren S October 27, 2009 at 11:59pm thanks hun, you're the best ;) END--------------- This sounds like a real good company but I haven't seen it to be different to address some of the problems other networkers have. There is also a lack of residual income considering that the company requires customers to re-purchase products. This is a problem is a lot of MLM companies. They do have some power players though, making great money in the company. Any fool can see this is a real company with real people as it's been around for a long time and made people good side incomes. How about this opp for you? It's good to be cautious before jumping into a company that could change your life. Sales people will tell you it doesn't matter what you sell. It's the person no? I can agree with this to a degree. Being a great leader or mentor is a huge component to success but depending on what your product is will determine what marketing plan you come up with. Certain MLMs are better to advertise on the internet, some are in person companies that you need to see a client to sell. A lot of variables should be considered.
